INDIE BOYS (DON'T DESERVE IT)

The release date for The Queens of Noize debut single "INDIE BOYS (DON'T DESERVE IT) has been delayed, the new release date is expected at the end of January 2005, trust us the wait will be worth it!

SMELL OF CREAM
The cover shoot for the single featuring, alongside The Queens, The Libertines, The Cribs, Art Brut and The Rocks amongst others soon descended into merry chaos last week. An Altered Images (look em up younger fans) inspired tea party became one almighty bun fight on the roof of The Lock Tavern with photographer Roger Sargent (responsible for Libs album cover) barely keeping control. (Check Queens diary for more)

Its sure to be a CLASSIC! However celebratory drinks were somewhat soured by that unmistakable smell of cream on the turn emanating from everyone's soggy hair-dos.

A video for the track which was shot early last year (!) by director WIZ (who has been responsible for fantastic videos for the likes of BRMC, Oasis and Kasabian) has also finally been edited. (Check LOOK AT US, PRESS, Elle article for cheeky snap shot)

A twist on the Beatles classic A Hard Days night, it sees the streets of Hoxten over run with boys in bands chasing us girls round (see what we're doing there)

A little bit like an episode of Before They Were Famous: you can have fun spotting the star turn from Peter D plus the as yet undiscovered Neils Children and Dom from The Others.

THE QUEENS OF NOIZE READING FESTIVAL SPECIAL
ZANE LOWE couldn't co-present the Reading show with us as planned for personal reasons so in typical Queens style we were in at the deep end just how we like it! THE QUEENS OF NOIZE READING FESTIVAL SPECIAL is going to be premiered on MTV2 SEP11 then repeated until its milked to death (as if you'd get tired of us) featuring "interviews" with the likes of The Distillers, The Futureheads, GLC, Graham Coxon, Razorlight, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Soulwax, Ash, !!!, Von Bondies, Carl Barat and loads of kids on poppers wearing daft hats.
